Santo Antão is the most attractive hiking island in Cape Verde. The diversity of hiking tours is absolutely unique. The visitor can enter a new world every day. From the desert up to the highest regions with its thick forestry, from the volcano craters to the tropical valleys.

Even greater than in our degree of latitude is that the elementary code of conduct must be observed and adhered to when mountain hiking on Santo Antão. An iron discipline and the absolute recommendation to hike only with local guides is a necessity, that no-one should be deprived of.

In the entourage of an experienced mountain guide who usually established small groups, hiking can be double the fun and is also less problematic, more comfortable and even more safe due to the local knowledge provided by the guide.

On request, you can receive suggestions on hiking routes for half-day, whole-day and multi-day hiking and trekking tours.
