Jeep Tours

The SANTANTAO ART RESORT has its own small fleet of jeeps that we rent to our guests. In addition, we organize jeep tours weekly or on request for small groups (at least 6 people), accompanied by qualified travel and tour guides. These tours are taken in the southern part of the island towards Tarrafal de Monte Trigo and in the north towards Ribeira Grande and Ponta do Sol.

These tours are taken during the day. They start early in the morning and return to the hotel early in the evening.

We individually offer the following tours:

TOUR I: Porto Novo – Cova – Ribeira Grande – Ponta do Sol – Porto Novo
Day tour with app. 100 km on a built-out cobblestone street featuring a sightseeing programme and lunch in Ponta do Sol.
Duration: app. 7 hours

TOUR II: Porto Novo – Cova – Ribeira Grande – Vila das Pombas (the valley of Paùl) – Janela – Porto Novo
Day tour with app. 100 km on a built-out cobblestone street featuring a sightseeing programme and lunch in Vila das Pombas.
Duration: app. 7-8 hours

TOUR III: Porto Novo – Ribeira das Pates – Alto Mira - Norte – Sulk – Porto Novo
Day tour with app. 85 km on partially stony, non-surfaced streets
Lunch underway with a lunch packet.
Duration: app. 7-8 hours
